This interactive workshop-style talk first described the ideas supporting anti-racist pedagogy. Aisling then shared how she integrated a “Bioethics and Bias” component into Microbiology to provide an idea-fostering forum for students to discuss issues surrounding medical racism, testing on vulnerable populations, problematic history, and controversies that shape our future.
