Biography

Dr. Huang is a life science industry veteran specializing in leading early-stage startups that are advancing innovative and transformative technologies. He is currently Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Amplifyer Bio, a spinout from MIT and the Broad Institute, focused on developing first-in-class priming agents to enhance liquid biopsies as reported in Science. Previously, he was interim Chief Operating Officer at Saga Diagnostics, tasked with the set-up of US operations and hiring of a US-based team. Prior to that, he was Chief Scientific Officer at Mercy BioAnalytics, where he was responsible for R&D activities developing extracellular vesicle-based diagnostics for the early detection of cancer. Dr. Huang has also held senior management and advisory positions at GelMEDIX, 3Helix, Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute, Klotho Therapeutics, Glympse Bio and Acusphere. He has a PhD in Medical Science from Brown University, MS in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University, and ScB in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University.
